# MP Cars FAQ: buying, selling and sourcing cars privately in Dubai

## How does selling my car with you work?
Send us the details on Sell your car, or message any of us. A partner contacts you personally and gives you an honest view on price. Once we agree a figure, we match your car with a buyer we know and handle the inspection, paperwork and RTA transfer. The keys change hands only once the money is in your account.

## Do you buy cars outright, or broker them?
We are brokers, not a showroom. We do not buy your car cheaply to sell it on; we find the right buyer and base every figure on what the market is actually paying.

## Will you just accept my asking price?
Not automatically. Tell us your price and the partner will say honestly whether it is fair for the market, or give you their view first. You get a real opinion, not a script.

## Once we agree a price, could it change later?
Not from our side. Once we agree a bottom line, we stick to it. The only exception is if the car turns out to be different from what we were told, such as its condition or history, and then we will explain exactly why.

## What do I need to sell my car?
Usually the registration card (Mulkiya), your Emirates ID or passport, the service history and all the keys. Purchase and warranty papers help too. The partner will tell you exactly what your car needs.

## My car is still on finance. Can I still sell it?
Usually, yes. The loan is settled before ownership changes, and the bank then issues a clearance letter. The partner will explain how it works for your car.

## Do you take part-exchange?
Sometimes. As we broker each deal, it depends on the other party agreeing to take your car. Tell the partner what you have in mind and they will come back to you honestly.

## Do you sell private number plates?
Yes, through the same private network. Otherwise your plates never appear anywhere, in photos or online.

## Can you find a car that is not for sale?
Often, yes. Many of the cars we place never reach a listing; we find them through owners, collectors and dealers we have known for years. Tell us the car on Source a car.

## Do you work with classic and collector cars?
Yes. Oscar looks after classic and collector clients, with honest advice on originality, condition and provenance.

## Can I see the car before I commit?
Yes. Viewings are private, by appointment and attended by a partner.

## Can I have the car inspected before I buy?
Yes. We can recommend top-rated Dubai garages for a full inspection, or you can use your own.

## Can you help arrange finance?
We can advise and point you in the right direction, but we do not arrange finance ourselves.

## Can you help with registration, insurance and getting the car home?
Yes. We handle the RTA transfer, testing and plates, advise on insurance and can connect you with an insurer, and arrange transport anywhere in the UAE or export worldwide.

## Can you source right-hand-drive cars?
Yes, for specific models. Tell us the car and we will tell you honestly whether we can find it in right-hand drive.

## Do you ship cars abroad?
Yes. We have exported more than 100 cars from the UAE, handling enclosed transport, shipping and export paperwork, so you do not need to be in Dubai.

## I live outside the UAE. Can I still buy or sell through you?
Yes. Most of it is handled by WhatsApp and phone. If you are selling from abroad, the partner will explain what can be done remotely and when someone needs to be there.

## Will anyone know I am buying or selling?
No. Your name, face, plates and details stay with your partner. Cars are offered privately to people we know, and nothing is posted publicly unless you ask.

## Who will I actually deal with?
One of the four partners, directly, from the first message to the handover. No sales team, no call centre. If you know one of us, choose them on the forms or the Contact page.

## How is payment made, and how am I protected?
Every deal is set out in a written contract covering the car, the price and the terms before any money moves. Payment is by bank transfer or cash, only into a company account a partner has confirmed in writing, and the keys change hands only once payment is confirmed.

## How long does it take to find a car, or to sell one?
It depends on the car and the season. A popular specification can move quickly; something rare takes longer. Your partner will give you an honest idea of timing.

## Does it cost anything to ask?
No. Asking for a valuation or sending a request is free and does not commit you to anything.

## How much do modifications or a body kit cost?
Prices vary widely. They depend on the car, the modifications and the body kit: some cars need more material than others, and some body kits are rarer and more expensive. The price is based on the vehicle and the work being done. For more details, contact us directly.

## What do you charge?
Only a commission, and only when a deal goes ahead: usually 2% to 5% of the car’s value, paid by the client we act for. The exact figure is agreed with you in writing before we start.
